Site Identification Signs
These can vary greatly in size, shape, materials and cost. To start, community limitations on height and size need to be determined, and a site plan is usually needed. Size of graphics will also depend upon viewing distance, and speed of traffic. Determine whether it will be ground or wall mounted. If on a wall, the wall elevation and viewing sight lines will provide starting points for the sign layout. If illumination is appropriate, consider ground or internal illumination, and how it will be controlled (timer, mechanical switch, photo-electric cell).
