OptionsFlat cut: Letters cut from a flat sheet of material, such as vinyl, acrylic, brass, bronze. Some styles with thick and thin strokes can only be cut in larger sizes, but otherwise this is the most flexible method for creating dimensional metal letters and graphics. Metals cut with computer driven water jets can be more precise than band saw cutting methods. Cast Metal: Certain styles are available in cast aluminum, brass or bronze. Molded Plastic: A number of basic styles are plastic molded, ranging from very small 1/4" to 36" or so. Molded letters are often less expensive. Fabricated: For larger letters and graphics, fabricating the face in thin metals, such as stainless steel, then welding sides or "returns" to create visual thickness without the weight and cost of thick metal plate. At large enough sizes, these can also be internally illuminated.
